NSPE Revises Policy on Education Requirements
During the 2016 PE Conference in Dallas this year, the NSPE House of Delegates voted in favor of proposed changes to the Society's professional policy on engineering education requirements (PP 168). The revised policy addresses the need for additional education beyond a four-year degree in preparation for professional engineering licensure. NSPE does support additional education, but does not feel it should be limited to formal education such as a master's degree or equivalent.
