Engineer's Week Banquet

 2018 Engineer's Week Banquet

On Friday, February 23, 2018, Engineer's Week will be celebrated with the Annual Engineer's Week Banquet.  The banquet is held to recognize the achievements of the 2018 Engineer of the Year, Young Engineer of the Year, and Student Engineers of the Year from each of the technical colleges and universities in Vermont (Norwich University, University of Vermont, and Vermont Technical College).  The banquet also recognizes the other award winners such as Vermont Society of Engineers scholars and the high school MathCounts team who represents the State of Vermont.

Additionally, the banquet as a whole acts to enhance the image and stature of all Vermont Engineers; and is a way to acknowledge the efforts of Engineers to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public in their every day practice.

This year, Dr. Greg Warrington will be giving the Keynote Presentation on "The Mathematics of Juggling."  Dr. Greg Warrington is the Associate Chair of the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Vermont.  He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from Harvard University.  His presentation on "The Mathematics of Juggling" is wonderfully entertaining and informative.
